Double-row angular contact ball bearings main designs
1. There is a ball notch on one side. Larger size and more steel balls can be loaded, which can withstand larger radial loads and unidirectional axial loads. Generally, steel stamping or machined brass solid cages are used, which are suitable for lower rotational speeds.
2. There is no ball-loading notch. This design can withstand equal axial loads in both directions. Using glass fiber reinforced nylon 66 cage or steel stamping crown cage, It can reduce the heat generation of the bearing and lower the operating temperature, which is very important in high speed rotation.
3. It can be double or single side with dust cover (non-contact type) or sealing ring (contact type). These sealed bearings are filled with rust-proof and lubricating dual-purpose grease. If there is no special requirement, they are filled with lithium-based 2# grease. The operating temperature is -30 to +100 °C. It is permanently lubricated and requires no maintenance. It should not be heated nor cleaned before installation. Bearings with dust caps are mainly used for the case of inner ring rotation. When the outer ring rotates, if the speed exceeds a certain level, the grease may overflow.
Tolerances: Standard double-row angular contact ball bearings have common tolerances. If required, products with tolerance grade P6 or P5 can also be provided.
Cage: Double-row angular contact ball bearing cage types generally include glass fiber reinforced nylon 66 cage, stamped steel plate cage and machined brass solid cage.
Installation guide: When installing a double-row angular contact ball bearing with a ball-loading notch, the greater of axial load acting in one direction or in both directions should be used on the steel ball row farther away from the ball loading inlet.
